Vegan Herbed Grated Parmesan


Pasta and red sauce basically got me through study sessions in college. Who can relate? While I still love this inexpensive, nostalgic combo, I now like to level up with added veggies, plant-based protein, and this herbed parm! Sure, amazing vegan Parmesan products can be purchased, I personally love Follow Your Heart, but sometimes a whole food-based recipe hits the spot. Give this a try and let me know what you think!


  • 1/2 cup cashews
  • 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning


  • Food processor
  • Mason jar or shaker jar for storage


  1. Add all ingredients to your food processor and pulse until desired consistency achieved. This takes about 1-2 minutes. Try not to over-process or it may become creamy like cashew butter.
